Mr. Phung The Anh (6th from right) and delegates performed the ceremony of affixing name board to celebrate the 6th Congress of Vietnam Electricity Trade Union for the 2023 - 2028 term for the Lao Cai 500kV substation and 220kV connection lines (phase 1).
The project was started on April 21, 2022, so far the project construction schedule has followed the proposed plan. New construction project of 500/220/35kV substation, with a capacity of 2x900MVA, with reserve location for a third transformer installation when necessary; Construction of 220kV overhead line, 04 circuits and 02 circuits, ACSR500/64 conductors from Lao Cai 500kV substation to the transition connection point to the existing 220kV Bao Thang - Yen Bai transmission line, 17.52 km long. To date, phase 1 of the project has been basically completed and all conditions for acceptance at the Investor level have been fully prepared. It is expected that the Acceptance Council at the Investor level (EVN) will organize the completion acceptance phase 1 of the project, put the 220kV switchyard and 220kV connection line into operation in early October, 2023. The construction of a 500kV switchyard and completion of the entire project will be performed in phase 2 and expected to be energized in the fourth quarter of 2024 (synchronized with the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV transmission line project).
Mr. Phung The Anh, on behalf of the Company, received the Certificate of Merit for the unit with outstanding achievements during project implementation.
This is a special level Energy Project, group B, invested by EVN, managed and executed by Power Project Management Board 1. Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 1 (PECC1) acts as Consultant performing investigation work to serve the preparation of Technical Design and Construction Drawing; extract cadastral maps, place landmarks to serve site clearance; preparation of Technical Design - Total Estimate dossier; preparation of Construction Design Drawing and author supervision; Preparation of Bidding Documents for packages related to materials, equipment, construction and erection; environmental monitoring and supervision. Previously, in this project PECC1 participated in investigation work serving the preparation of FS Report, EIA report and specialized report on forests.
During the project construction process, PECC1 engineers are at site regularly, closely following the construction site to promptly coordinate with the Investor, units and localities to resolve issues arising during the construction process to speed up the project schedule and ensure project quality. At the ceremony, PECC1 was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit for the unit with outstanding achievements during the project implementation process awarded by Mr. Uong Quang Huy - Vice Chairman of Vietnam Electricity Trade Union.
Construction investment objectives of the project:
- Releasing capacity of power sources in the Northwest and neighboring areas, supporting electricity import if any.
- Reducing load for the existing 500kV Son La - Hiep Hoa, Son La - Nho Quan transmission lines, ensuring electricity supply for development demand and energy security of the National Power System.
