Since being put into operation, HBHP (8 units, total installed capacity of 1,920MW) has fundamentally contributed to solving the electricity shortage in our country for a long time. The power generation efficiency of HBHP continues to increase by 12-15% compared to that of the previous period since it was established. Electricity production always exceeds design and maintains a level of 9-10 billion kWh/year. Of which, 2018 was the year with the highest output (12.290 billion kWh), 1.5 times higher than the designed level.
Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant
Over the past 35 years, the Plant has played an extremely important role in carrying out the task of ensuring safe flood control regulation for the Northern Delta, while also generating power with high efficiency, contributing to ensuring ensure power supply for the country.
Previously, HBHP's production reached the 200 billion kWh mark on May 24, 2016, and was also the first hydropower plant in Vietnam to reach this output milestone.
Promoting the achieved achievements, Hoa Binh Hydropower Company has been determined to promote emulation, focusing on applying advanced science and technology to production; Strengthen inspection and supervision to improve the reliability of power unit availability, and ensure safe operation of the plant to effectively implement EVN's 2023 theme of "Thrift practice and Waste prevention".
