In this project, the consortium of Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 1 (PECC1), Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 4, and the Institute of Energy won package No. 01 with a contract duration of 600 days. The bidding package includes the following works: Investigation consulting for report preparation at various stages: Technical Design – Construction Drawing Design, preparation of Technical Design-Cost Estimates, design of the Construction Drawings and elaboration of Cost Estimates for the package, Tender document/Request Document; Measure and mapping, extracting maps for site clearance.
The 500kV Quang Trach - Doc Soi transmission line project was ordered to start construction in December 2018 with its construction scale as follows: 500.14km long of the 500kV double circuit T/L from 500kV substation of Quang Trach Thermal Power Plant to 500kV Doc Soi substation (through territories of Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai provinces and Da Nang City); construction of 3 optical repeat stations in the middle of the T/L to amplify and transmitting information signals; construction of 3 operational management house for power transmission team. The project has been organized and constructed in accordance with design documents that have been appraised and approved, as-built documents have been collected for work completion, and organized the acceptance test of the work items in accordance with the provisions of the law.
During the implementation process of the project, the parties faced many difficulties, particularly in site clearance, besides that is the situation of severe rains, floods, and landslides in the Central region, especially in the context of the complicated situation of Covid-19 epidemic, it has greatly affected the construction schedule. Nevertheless, PECC1 together with the Owner and Contractors has made great efforts to overcome difficulties, complete the work, and soon bring the project to the target.
Mr. Bui Van Kien - Deputy General Director of EVNNPT, Chairman of the Acceptance Council affirmed: "The 500kV Quang Trach - Doc Soi transmission line project and the 500kV Quang Trach switchyard have completed the construction according to the approved design documents, organized the acceptance test in accordance with current regulations and decrees of the State on quality management of construction works, ensuring conditions to put the works into usage. The project is in sufficient conditions and is ready for energizing and technical acceptance”.
Completion of the project will help strengthen the transmission capacity of the 500kV power grid connecting regions of the National power system, contributing to ensure electricity supply in the South during the period when the Southern power system cannot ensure the balance of regional supply-demand; optimization of electricity production and transmission in the operation of the National power system.
